The 3750 dwt ro-ro ferry Santa Regina collided with a berth fishing vessel while docking at Wellington’s Glasgow Wharf, New Zealand. The 136 meter long Santa Regina was pushed by strong winds onto the stern section of the fishing vessel resulting in a gouge on the fishing vessel and a 4 meter long gash. Around 120 passengers were left stranded when the ferry was pulled from service to undergo repairs. Maritime New Zealand will be conducting an investigation into the incident. No reports of injuries or pollution being released.
