The 27 meter long fishing vessel Audacious BF83 sank in the North Sea near Aberdeen, Scotland.   The vessel had suffered uncontrolled water ingress with the engine room flooded.  The crew alerted the Aberdeen Coastguard who dispatched two helicopters to the scene.  The six crew on the Audacious abandoned ship to life rafts and were rescued by a nearby vessel.   The helicopters later arrived and transferred the men.  No reports of injuries.  The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
