The 200 meter long, 63577 dwt bulk carrier Nautical Runa ran aground on the Weser River near Brake, Germany. The Nautical Runa had been tied up to a quay to unload cargo when it’s mooring lines snapped. The bulk carrier drifted from the quay and ran aground perpendicular to the fairway blocking commercial traffic.  Tugs were dispatched and were able to keep the Nautical Runa in place during low tide. A few hours later with the rising tide, the tugs were able to refloat the Nautical Runa and tow it back to its berth. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
