On March 20, the 225 meter long, 37421 dwt bulk carrier Algoma Conveyor ran aground on Lake Michigan near the mouth of the Fox River at Green Bay, Wisconsin. The vessel was proceeding along the navigation channel when it lost power and drifted aground. There were no injuries or damage on board the Algoma Conveyor. The Coast Guard was alerted and dispatch a team to inspect the bulk carrier.  Reports state some of the cargo of salt will be lightered off the Algoma Conveyor before it will be refloated.
