The 261 meter long, 8293 dwt passenger cruise ship Dawn Princess caught fire off Napier, New Zealand. The fire started in an electrical substation while the vessel was sailing between Wellington and Napier. The crew fought the fire for over an hour while passengers were ordered to their muster station.
