Around midnight on July 4, the 83 foot long fishing vessel Sea Goddess ran ashore near Honolulu, Hawaii.  The vessel had grounded some 150 yards off the shoreline near the end of the runway of the Honolulu Airport.  Salvors were requested and pulled the Sea Goddess free later the same day.  The vessel was towed to Honolulu where it will be surveyed for damage. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.  The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the incident.

The 77 foot fishing boat Judy K sank at the pier in Honolulu Harbor, Hawaii.  The vessel released some 50 gallons of diesel fuel into the water.  The Coast Guard and local authorities responded to the scene.  They placed booms around the vessel and pads to contain the pollution. Reports state the Judy K had been abandoned and no equipment was on board. No reports of injuries.
