The 31 meter long passenger ship Flinthörn ran aground between Bensersiel and Langeoog, Germany.  The Flinthörn was headed to Langeoog with 127 passengers when it stranded on a sandbank. The crew alerted the DGzRS which dispatched multiple lifeboats to the scene. Assisted by custom and police boats, the lifeboats were able to evacuate all 127 passengers as the tide receded. The crew remained on board as the Flinthörn sat high and dry with just a slight list to starboard. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The Flinthörn was later refloated on the rising tide and proceeded to Langeoog.
