Baltic Stream

The 144 meter long, 12570 dwt reefer Baltic Stream went aground on the Elbe River near Drochtersen, Germany.  The reefer had suffered engine failure allowing the vessel to run aground.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The vessel requested assistance  with two tugs responding to the scene.  No further details reported.

Simfoniya

The 103 meter long, 3642 dwt reefer Simfoniya became disabled while in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (34 46N 167 45E).  The reefer had lost steering when it lost its rudder.  The owner dispatched another reefer to take the Simfoniya under tow.   No reports of injuries or pollution being released.

Akademik Vavilov

The 138 meter long, 7673 dwt reefer Akademik Vavilov ran aground on the St. Petersburg Sea Channel near buoy 34.  The Vavilov was refloated with the assistance from two tugs.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.   The vessel had a pilot on board at the time of the grounding.
