Don River Collision
The 122 meter long, 3742 dwt tanker Lakhta allided with the 133 meter long tanker Volgoneft 122 on the River Don near the 3148 kilometer mark. The Lakhta had heaved anchor when it suffered a power blackout when it struck the anchored Volgoneft 122. The Lakhta suffered damage to its starboard side of the bow above the waterline. The Volgoneft 122 suffered minor damage with dented railings. No reports of injuries and no pollution released.
