The 31 foot long fishing vessel Two Sons became waterlogged while off Cape Mears, Oregon.   The source of the water was the fish storage compartment.  The ice on board had melted into 500 gallons of water.   The Two Sons crew contacted the Coast Guard who dispatched a Jayhawk helicopter to the scene.   The helicopter lowered a pump to the crew, but the pump failed after overheating.   The Coast Guard 47 foot lifeboat was called out with a second pump.   This pump was successful in dewatering the fishing vessel.   The Two Sons was escorted back to Garibaldi, Oregon.    Reports state the fishing vessel had multiple citations when it was inspected.   None of the two crew on board the Two Sons were injured.
