The 15 meter long fishing vessel New Venture K112 ran aground on Seal skerry off Eday Island, Orkney Islands.  The New Venture had run aground in strong tides and was pushed onto the rocks. The three crew on board contacted authorities. The Kirkwall RNLI lifeboat was dispatched to the scene.  The lifeboat found the New Venture listing to starboard, but not taking on water.  The lifeboat safely transferred the crew off the New Venture and stood by for the rising tide. Two local fishing vessels also arrived on scene with additional pumps.  A few hours later, the rising tide allowed the lifeboat to refloat the New Venture.  The crew returned to the vessel and found no damage or water ingress.  The New Venture proceeded under her own power to Pierowall escorted by two local fishing vessels.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
