The fishing vessel Accord N 262 ran aground at Kirkcudbright Bay, Kirkbudbright Scotland. The scallop dredger had struck upon the rocks during the night and suffered water ingress. Unable to stop the flooding, the crew alerted authorities and headed towards shore. The Accord N262 ran up onto the shore just meters away from the nearby Kirkcudbright RNLI station.

All five crew were safely evacuated off the vessel. No reports of injuries. The scallop dredger was later inspected for damage. Local authorities and the Maritime & Coastguard Agency are monitoring the scene for any possible release of pollution.

Later reports stated the Accord N 262 was repaired and refloated. The vessel proceeded into Kirkcudbright harbour.
