The 110 meter long, 3,746 dwt tanker Medkem Three ran aground on the Ouse River near Faxfleet, England. The tanker was proceeding to Goole on the Ouse during low tide when it struck a mud bank. The tanker was unable to free itself. A tug was requested and was able to refloat the Medkem Three on the rising tide. The vessel was inspected and allowed to resume its voyage to Goole. The Primula Seaways was coming from Rotterdam with 25 persons in bad weather with strong winds and heavy rains.
