The fishing vessel Accord N 262 ran aground at Kirkcudbright Bay, Kirkbudbright Scotland. The scallop dredger had struck upon the rocks during the night and suffered water ingress. Unable to stop the flooding, the crew alerted authorities and headed towards shore. The Accord N262 ran up onto the shore just meters away from the nearby Kirkcudbright RNLI station. On September 13, the 77 meter long tanker Zapadnyy ran aground at the entrance to Silloth harbour, England.  The tanker, loaded with molasses, stranded on a sandbank barely avoiding running onto the nearby rocks. The Zapadnyy was later refloated on the following high tide. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. Reports state that a communication error caused the tanker to run aground. The Zapadnyy entered Silloth and unloaded its cargo and proceeded to its next port to Klaipeda….
