Saint Clair

The 24 meter long fishing vessel Saint Clair ran aground while attempting to enter Glandore harbour, Ireland.  The crew alerted authorities who dispatched a lifeboat and helicopter to the scene. The RNLI lifeboat arrived first and safely transferred all seven crewmen off the Saint Clair.  One  crewman was later taken to hospital.  The Saint Clair later drifted off the rocks and was taken under tow by the lifeboat into the harbour.

The 88 meter long, 3041 dwt cargo vessel Bienville ran aground on the Ouse River off Old Goole.  The Bienville was headed to Goole with a cargo of lumber from Riga when dropped anchor waiting for improved condition when it ran aground.  Three tugs were dispatched to refloat the Bienville on the rising tide. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
