Stena Transit

The 212 meter long ro-ro passenger ferry Stena Transit caught fire on the Humber off Grimsby.  The Stena Transit was coming from Rotterdam with 180 persons on board when the fire broke out in the vessel’s engine room.  The crew made an emergency anchorage and quickly extinguished the blaze. Loch Inchard

Loch Inchard

The 18 meter long, 97 gt fishing vessel Loch Inchard UL44  became disabled off Scrabster, Scotland. The Loch Inchard had suffered steering failure and requested assistance. The RNLI lifeboat from Thurso was dispatched and took the fishing vessel under tow back to Scrabster. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
