Flevoborg
The 157 meter long, 13000 dwt cargo vessel Flevoborg caught fire on the River Tyne while berthed in South Shields, England. The crew spotted some smoke coming the cargo hold and when the hold was opened the smoldering cargo of wooden pallets from Tallinn burst into flames. The crew requested assistance with the local fire brigade responding. With the aid of a fireboat, the fire bridage was able to extinguish the blaze within an hour. No reports of injuries or pollution…
