The Greek ferry Super Ferry 2 collided with the main pier on the island of Tinos. The ferry had 124 passengers from the island of Andros. While there were no injuries reported, the ferry was unable to continue as the damage included water inflow into the hull.

Freighter Ocean Blue Sinks

Bolivian registered freighter Ocean Blue sank 82 miles south of the Domican Republic (17 07.3 N, 69 50.0 W). The vessel had left the port of Rio Haina bound for Puerto Cabello, Venezuela. The entire crew of seven were rescued by the Liberian flag Adrian.
