The 107 meter long ro-ro cargo vessel Norrland ran aground along the shore Kinsarvik, Norway. The Norrland was en route to Boliden Odda from Haugesund with 12 crew when  it ran ashore. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The Norrland ran aground during high tide and will require a tug to refloat the vessel.  Reports state divers will inspect the hull for damage.  The cause of the grounding was not reported.

Flying Dutchman

The 2-masted sailing vessel Flying Dutchman ran aground in Oban Bay. The Flying Dutchman had run aground during low tide on a reef locally known as “The Scrat”.  The RNLI lifeboat responded to the scene and help disembark the passengers safely. The Flying Dutchman later refloated on the rising tide and was towed by the lifeboat to the pier in Oban.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution.

Collision off Azov

The 109 meter long cargo vessel Kazakh collided with the 114 meter long cargo vessel Dolphin 7 on the Don River near Azov, Russia. The two vessels sustained some damage and reported to drop anchor to be surveyed.  Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. No further details reported.
