A barge owned by Bowhead Transport ran aground between Oooguruk Island and Olikok Point along Alaska’s artic shoreline. The barge suffered some damage with the stern wheelhouse broke loose and settled stern first.

A barge owned by Bowhead Transport ran aground between Oooguruk Island and Olikok Point along Alaska’s artic shoreline. The barge suffered some damage with the stern wheelhouse broke loose and settled stern first.

A barge sank on the Nile river near the city of Aswan. The vessel released 100 tons of diesel fuel. The barge was carrying 240 tons of diesel fuel.

A fire broke out on the 100 foot fishing vessel Arctic Dawn while moored at the Lake Washington Ship Canal, Seattle, Washington. The fire was contained by local firefighters but the vessel sustained severe damage to the superstructure.
The Arctic Dawn has appeared in the Discover Channel’s show “Deadliest Catch”.
