Cruise ship sails into a storm

Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas suffer minor damage when it sailed into a storm near Alexandra, Egypt. Reports state several passengers were injured and required medical assistance. The vessel was diverted to Malta as the seas were to high to enter Alexandra.

The tug Anne Marie sank at its mooring on the Saginaw River and partially covered by ice. The vessel had 2500 gallons of diesel fuel onboard. Reports state that some pollution was released, but an oil boom was in place to contain fuel or oil released. The cause of the sinking was not reported.
