Tsunami: C. S. Victory

The 32,385 dwt freighter C. S. Victory was driven into shallow water by the tsunami while berthed at the port of Ishinomaki, Japan. Reports state the crew is in good shape.

Trondheim Allision

The 870 dwt ferry Trondheim allided with the quay at Hufthamar, Norway. Reports state there was no injuries on board the Trondheim, but the quay has significant damage. The Trondheim will switch its route to Austevoll to Krokeide until the repairs at Hufthamar are completed.

Fire on the Janine

The 85 meter long self-propelled barge Janine had a small fire in the engine room while in the outer port of Hansweert, Netherlands. Two tugs towed the Janine to a mooring where the fire was quickly extinguished. No reports of injuries or the extent of damage on the Janine.
