Allure G

Allure G

The 47 meter long Search and Rescue vessel Allure G became disabled off Callantsoog, Netherlands.   The Allure G had suffered engine problems and went adrift.   The vessel contacted the Coast Guard who dispatched a tug and a rescue craft to the scene.   The Coast Guard remained on scene until a salvage tug arrived and took the Allure G under tow.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

Keale

Keale

The 80 meter long self-propelled barge Keale suffered a fire while berthed at Antwerp, Belgium.  The fire started on an oil stove where fuel leaked out causing an explosion and fire.   Local fire fighters were able to get the blaze  under control.   The Keale’s cabin was completely gutted by the fire.   No one was on board at the time of the fire.

The 3500 dwt boxship Pacific Dawn became disabled off Hull, England.   The vessel had a stuck valve which remained open allowing water to ingress into the ship.   The water ingress quickly flooded the engine room, but the crew was able to stop the flooding before the vessel sank.   No reports of injuries.   The Pacific Dawn was taken under tow to Ijmuiden where the vessel will be repaired.
