Gloria May
The 130 foot long offshore supply vessel Gloria May collided with a fishing vessel in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Pascagoula, Mississippi. The Gloria May struck a shrimping vessel which sustained significant damage after the collision. The three crew on board the shrimper abandoned ship and were quickly rescued by the Gloria May. No reports of injuries. Reports state the shrimper vessel had some 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 200 gallons of oil on board at the time. The Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the incident.
