The 138 meter long, 5180 dwt cargo vessel Volgo Don 5011 allided with a quay at port Kavkaz, Kerch, Crimea. The Volgo Don 5011 was doing a maneuver to berth at the port when it struck the quay sustaining 3 small breaches in the hull with 2 below the waterline. No reports of injuries or pollution released. Reports state the holes were later patched.

The 105 meter self-propelled barge Port De Mar ran aground on the Rhine just below Rheinkniebrücke near Düsseldorf, Germany. The Port De Mar, loaded with a cargo of coal, had struck bottom at the bow sustaining damage to the hull. The barge suffered water ingress, but the flooding was kept under control by the vessel’s pumps. Traffic was halted for a few hours until the Port De Mar could be refloated. Reports state the vessel berthed in Düsseldorf before proceeding to Neuss. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

The 183 meter long, 50472 dwt cargo vessel Belle Rose ran aground off Monad Shaol near Daanbantayan, Philippines. The Belle Rose was headed to San Fernando from Japan with a cargo of cement when it struck the shoal. No reports of injuries. The Belle Rose sustained hull damage with three holes in the ballast tanks. Authorities state the vessel rests on top of the coral reefs, but no oil pollution has been detected.
