On the early morning of November 8, the cargo vessel Aries 1 (unknown) ran aground at Barangay Victoria, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The Aries 1 had been at anchor in the port of Currimao when strong waves and winds from Typhoon Marce (Yinxing) struck the area. The crew made an attempt to move the Aries 1 from its position, but the main engine failed and the Aires 1 drifted ashore. Authorities responded late that day and found there were no injuries to the 5 crew on board.

The Aries 1 had been anchored at Currimao for over five months.  Authorities are monitoring the vessel for possible oil pollution released.

On November 8, the 86 meter long cargo vessel LCT PanPhil 8 (IMO: 1081300) ran aground at Currimao, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The LCT PanPhil 8 had been at anchor in the port of Currimao when strong waves and winds from Typhoon Marce (Yinxing) struck the area. The cargo vessel’s anchor dragged and the LCT PanPhil 8 was blown ashore. Local authorities responded and found the 15 crew on the LCT PanPhil 8 were uninjured.

The LCT PanPhil 8 had arrived in Currimao a week earlier waiting for the processing of the certificates for conversion as a domestic trader.  Authorities are monitoring the vessel for possible oil pollution released.

On November 8, the 110 meter long self-propelled tanker-barge Blue Marjan (MMSI:244376425) collided with another vessel on the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal near Sas van Gent, Belgium. Reports state the Blue Marjan sustained hull damage to its bow, but no reports of pollution released.
