On the morning of September 22, the 22 meter long fishing vessel Bahía De Águilas (MMSI: 224138680) became disabled in the Balearic Sea six miles south of Calafell, Spain. The Bahía De Águilas became disabled when a net entangled in the propeller. The vessel requested assistance with the Salvamento Maritimó dispatched the 15 meter long search and rescue Salvamar Polaris (MMSI: 224007110) to assist. The Salvamar Polaris towed the Bahía De Águilas to Vilanova.  No reports of injuries to the 8 crew members, damage or pollution released.

On the evening of September 22, the 101 meter long, 6961 dwt cargo vessel Storm I (IMO: 9212448) became disabled  in the Bay of Biscay off the Ferrol estuary near Cape Prioriño Chico, Spain. The Storm I had just exited the Ferrol estuary bound for Aveiro when it suffered engine failure and went adrift. Unable to restart the engine, the crew requested assistance. The Salvamento Maritimó dispatched the tugs María de Maeztu (IMO: 9429091), Ibaizabal Cinco (IMO: 9261097) and Punta Redonda Uno (IMO: 9752230)  and took the cargo vessel under tow to outer port of Caneliñas. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

Reports state the crew was able to make repairs and the Storm I was able to proceed on its voyage on September 24.

On the morning of September 19, the 67 meter long, 621 dwt cargo vessel Didim Fatsa (IMO: 8212336) became disabled in the Dardanelles Strait off Gocuk Burnu, Turkey. The Didim Fatsa was en route from Aliağa to Bandırma when it suffered engine failure in the strait. The cargo vessel requested assistance with the KEGM dispatching a tug to assist.  The tug took the Didim Fatsa under tow and proceeded to the Şevketiye Anchorage where it safely anchored. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
