On November 9, the 82 meter long, 4500 dwt landing-craft cargo vessel LCT Felicity 8 ran aground in Pagapas Bay off Wawa Ibaba, Lemery, Batangas, Philippines. The LCT Felicity 8 had sought shelter in Pagapas Bay from the high winds and strong currents caused by Super Typhoon Uwan when it was blown ashore. The Philippine Coast Guard was alerted and dispatched a response team to the scene. The Coast Guard reported that the LCT Felicity 8 was in stable condition with no structural damage and no pollution released. The crew were confirmed to be safe and in good condition.

The Philippine Coast Guard directed the owners of the LCT Felicity 8 to hire a tugboat to refloat the vessel. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the grounding and to assess compliance with safety and navigational protocols.

On the afternoon of November 15, the Chinese fishing vessel Min Dong Yu 61227 caught fire in the Taiwan Strait approximately 28 nautical miles northwest of Taipei Harbor, Taiwan. The Min Dong Yu 61227 immediately sent out a distress call as the vessel with the Taiwan Coast Guard responding.  The Coast Guard rushed a vessel to the scene which had to deal with poor visibility and rough conditions. Even with waves of 3 meters and wind gusts of force 9, the Coast Guard would reached the fishing vessel.  Rescuers would safely transfer all 15 crew off the Min Dong Yu 61227 to a nearby fishing vessel Minxia Yu 01459 before they extinguish the blaze. No reports of injuries.

The Min Dong Yu 61227 was later taken under tow by the fishing vessel Minxiayu 01467 and headed back to port on the mainland. As soon as the fishing vessels crossed the median line , the Taiwan Coast Guard stood down.  The cause of the fire and the extent of damage to the Min Dong Yu 61227 was not disclosed.

On the early morning of November 16, the fishing vessel LA 99034 TS sank approximately six nautical miles off Ben Dam Bay in the Côn Đảo archipelago, Vietnam. Authorities received a distress call that the fishing vessel had sunk dispatching patrol vessels to the area along with asking nearby fishing vessels to assist. The fishing vessel BV 95738 TS responded and rescued 4 of the 5 crew of the LA 99034 TS. The fishing vessel TG 92308 TS rescued the remaining crew member.  The 5 crew were later transported to Côn Đảo.  No reports of injuries.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The cause of the sinking was not disclosed.
