The 29 meter long, 150 gt fishing vessel Ann Marie ran aground near Berrhead England. The Ann Marie had suffered steering failure and ran up onto the rocks. The RNLI lifeboat from Torbay was dispatched to the scene and help pull the Ann Marie free on the rising tide. No reports of injuries. Reports state the trawler was able to safely berth in Brixham.

The 28 meter long fishing vessel Albamar ran aground at Piriápolis, Uruguay. The Albamar was heading out to sea when it became disabled and went adrift. The vessel drifted until it ran ashore. No further details reported.

Alley Cat

On February 11, the 12 meter long fishing vessel Alley Cat ran aground at Hobie Beach near Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Alley Cat had been fishing mackerel when it went ashore on the rocks. Witnesses reported the vessel to NSRI who dispatched a lifeboat to the scene. The lifebout found all nine crew of the the Alley Cat safe. Reports state the NSRI help remove fuel off the Alley Cat while the crew removed equipment and personal items off the vessel.  The Alley Cat was reported to be refloated on the following high tide. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
