On June 20, the 42 meter long fishing vessel Eivind became disabled near Thorshavn, Faroe Islands. The trawler had suffered engine failure and went adrift. Authorities dispatched vessels to the scene which were able to attach a towline to the disabled Eivind. The vessels then proceeded into Thorshavn where the Eivind docked for repairs. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

Eleni M

The 190 meter long, 50992 dwt bulk carrier Eleni M ran aground on the Uruguay River off Nueva Palmira, Uraguay. The Eleni M was en route to Las Palmas with 36000 tons of soy beans from Recalda, Argentina when the vessel ran aground.  No reports of injuries. Tugs were dispatched to the scene to help refloat the Eleni M. Reports state the Eleni M was blocking traffic.

Emily Anne

On February 16, the 51 foot long tug Emily Anne sank in Massachusetts Bay off Deer Island, Massachusetts. The tug had suddenly sprung a leak and suffered uncontrolled water ingress.  The crew was able to send out a distress call before the three men abandoned ship and the tug sank. A nearby pilot boat came to their aid and rescued them.  No reports of injuries.  The Emily Anne was reported to be sunk in 40 feet of water. The Coast Guard has dispatched a team to monitor the site.
