The 90 meter long, 4500 dwt cargo vessel Frakt Vik ran aground near Hagenør in Skærbæk, Denmark. The cargo vessel had been underway from Aviles when it run up on a sandbar close to the shoreline. Authorities were notified and dispatched a patrol boat to the scene. After an inspection found no pollution had been released, the Frakt Vik was allowed to attempt to refloat itself. A short time later the Frakt Vik was able to free itself. The vessel proceeded to Apenrade where divers inspect the hull for damage. No reports of injuries.

Fu Shun 67

On October 8, the 84 meter long cargo vessel Fu Shun 67 capsized and sank near the entrance to the Minjiang River off Fuzhou, China. The Fu Shun 67 was proceeding with a cargo of steel when it lost stability. The steel cargo had shifted and the cargo vessel developed a heavy list. The vessel sent out a distress call and requested assistance. Authorities dispatched a helicopter and rescue ship to the scene. Before rescuers could reach the Fu Shun 67, the 10 crew abandoned ship just before the vessel rolled over and sank. Rescuers arrived on scene and eventually were able to rescue all 10 crew. No reports of injuries.

Freyja

On June 28, the 77 meter long, 2091  dwt tanker Freyja ran aground at Svartskjæret off Florø, Norway. The Freyja was proceeding in ballast when it ran aground near where the vessel Ingvild had run aground the day before. Tugs were dispatched and pulled the Freyja free the following day.  No reports of injuries to the 11 crew, damage or pollution released. The Freyja proceeded to Florø for inspection.
