The 122 meter long freighter Naftobulk VII became disabled off Rotterdam, Netherlands. The freighter had encountered engine damage and the vessel had lost all power. Two tugs were able to take the Naftobulk under tow and escort the vessel back to port.
Nautica Ashore
The 104-meter long self-propelled barge Nautica went aground on the Oostvaarder dam near Almere, Netherlands. For an unknown reaseon, the vessel veered off course and struck the dam’s causeway. The Nautica was refloated later with the assistance of several tugs. All 3 crewmen reported uninjured. No damage to the vessel or pollution was released.
Norrsken Collision

The 2486 dwt freighter Norrsken collided with the self-propelled barge Livarda at the sealock at Papenburg, Germany. The Livada suffered severe damage including water ingress resulting with the vessel being flooded. A dredger has tied up to the Livarda to help stabilize the vessel. The Livada with a crew of 2 was loaded with 1200 tons of fertilizer. The Norrsken with 7 crew on board did not report any damage. No reports of injuries from either vessel. An investigation is being conducted by the Water and Shippping Administration.
