On January 9, the 74 meter long cargo vessel Olga M allided with the Halkida Evripus Bridge at Evia, Greece. The Olga M struck the bridge on the port side of the bow, but neither the bridge or vessel sustained significant damage. The Olga M was able to proceed to a nearby quay where it berthed. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

The 35 meter long passenger ferry Ofoten became disabled between Meva and Sørøya, Norway. The Ofoten was en route to Bodø when it’s propeller was fouled by ropes.  All the passengers were evacuated to a NSSR lifeboat which transported them to Sørvær.  Later,the lifeboat assisted the crew in clearing the propeller. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The 190 meter long, 46509 dwt bulk carrier Odigitria ran aground on the Delaware River near Morrisville, Pennsylvania.  The Odigitria was refloated a few hours later. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. A survey of the vessel will be conducted while authorities conduct an investigation into the incident.
