Ocean Victory

The 28386 dwt bulk freighter Ocean Victory became disabled in the North Sea near Zandvoort, Netherlands.   The freighter had its propeller entangled in a buoy chain causing the vessel to go adrift.  The Ocean Victory was drifting towards shore until the crew was able to drop anchor.   The crew requested assistance to the Coast Guard who dispatched rescue vessels along with three salvage tugs.   No reports of injuries to the 20 crew on board.   The Ocean Victory was taken under tow to Ijmuiden.   The freighter was en route to Ijmuiden from Gibraltar.

Onezhskaya

The 53 meter long, 870 dwt hopper vessel Onezhskaya sank in the Baltic Sea near Ust-Luga, Russia.  The cause of the sinking is unknown.   All six crewmen aboard the Onezhskaya were safely rescued.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.

Osman Dogruyol

The 82 meter long, 2600 dwt freighter Osman Dogruyol became disabled in the Dardanelles near Guzeylah, Turkey.  The Osman Dogruyol had suffered engine failure and the vessel requested assistance.   A vessel was dispatched and took the Osman Dogruyol under tow and proceeded to a safe anchorage.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
