Wisdom

The 169 meter long, 27350 dwt tanker Wisdom became disabled near Belle Mare, Mauritus.  The Wisdom had suffered engine damage and attempts to make repairs by the crew failed.   Authorities dispatched a tug to the scene and take the tanker under tow to the safety of Port Louis.  No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The Wisdom was en route to Port Klang from Durban.

Wulf 7

The 30 meter long, 285 dwt tug Wulf 7 became disabled in the North Sea near Borkum Island.   The tug had suffered engine failure after departing Cuxhaven.   Another tug, the Anglian Earl, came to the Wulf 7 assistance.  The Anglian Earl took the Wulf 7 under tow and proceeded to Eemshaven.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution being released.

Wilson Caen

The 100 meter long, 4452 dwt freighter Wilson Caen allided with the moored 133 meter long , 10569 dwt cable-layer Giulio Verne at Emden, Germany.  The Wilson Caen was proceeding into the port when it became disabled after suffering engine failure.   Both vessels only suffered slight damage.   No reports of injuries or pollution being released.  The Wilson Caen was later inspected and allowed to proceed on its voyage to Rorvik.
