On the morning of November 3, the 90 meter long, 4618 dwt cargo vessel Linde (IMO: 9141352) ran aground on the Kiel Canal near Schafstedt, Germany. The Linde had suffered engine failure and drifted up onto the canal embankment. The cargo vessel remained stuck for about an hour before it was able to restart the engine and free itself.  The Linde then proceeded to Dückerswisch before it continued on to Brunsbüttel. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

On November 1, the 31.5 meter long 263 gt fishing vessel O Cantiño (IMO: 9174830) became disabled in the Bay of Biscay 15 miles off Burela, Spain. The O Cantiño had its propeller get entangled with the fishing gear and went adrift. The vessel requested assistance with the Salvamento Marítimo out of Finisterre dispatching the support vessel Salvamar Alioth to the scene. The Salvamar Alioth took the O Cantiño under tow and proceed safely to the port of Burela.  No reports of injuries to the 9 crew on board and no pollution released.

On the night of October 30, the 112 meter long, 7538 dwt tanker Global Lake (IMO: 9427469) became disabled on the Çanakkale Strait off Akbaş, Turkey. The Global Lake was headed to Aliağa from Samsun in ballast when it suffered main engine failure. Unable to restart the engine, the tanker requested assistance. Authorities dispatched a tug which took the Global Lake under tow and proceeded to an anchorage. Reports state the vessel was able to make repairs with help of authorities. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.
