The 119 meter long, 5309 dwt fishing vessel Johann Maria caught fire while berthed in Scheveningen, Netherlands. The trawler was being refitted when the fire started below deck.  Local fire brigades along with the KNRM responded to the scene.  Reports state two firefighters were injured and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.  The fire was difficult to extinguish as thick smoke and small passageways.  After several fire departments were brought in, the fire was brought under control.   A few hours later a smoldering section reignited, but was quickly extinguished.  The cause of the fire was not yet known.
