The 65 meter long, 1260 dwt cargo vessel Nathalie ran aground on the Schelde Estuary near Antwerp, Belgium.  The Nathalie was en route to Ghent when it struck a stony embankment. No reports of injuries.  The Nathalie was refloated a few hours later and was able to continue under it’s own power.

The 292 meter long, 175,620 dwt bulk carrier Minerva Faith ran aground in the Suez Canal near the 101 kilometer mark. The Minerva Faith was en route to Suez from Narvik when it veered from the channel and ran aground on a sandbank.  The bulker was unable to refloat itself and requested assistance.  Two tugs were dispatched to the scene and refloated the vessel.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

BERMUDA_ISLANDER

The 100 meter long, 3725 dwt container ship Bermuda Islander ran aground on the Delaware River near Salem, New Jersey. The boxship had suffered a power blackout and went adrift when it ran aground.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The Bermuda Islander was refloated the following day and berthed in Salem.
