The 110 meter long self-propelled tanker-barge Eternity ran aground on the Wester Scheldt at Hansweert, Netherlands. The Eternity was proceeding with flammable liquids when it ran aground. Authorities were alerted and tugs were dispatched to the scene. The tugs were able to refloat the tanker and the vessels proceeded to Amsterdam. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On March 31, the 292 meter long, 59938 dwt container ship Sea Land Meteor ran aground off Flushing, Netherlands. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. The boxship was later refloated on the rising tide assisted by 6 tugs.

The 226 meter long bulk carrier CWB Marquis ran aground on the St. Lawrence River near Beauharnois, Montérégie. The bulk carrier departed from Hamilton loaded with iron ore when it grounded near the locks after striking large block of ice. The CWB Marquis remained aground until later the same day when it was pulled free. The bulker proceeded to Melocheville for further inspection. The CWB Marquis was the first vessel to travel on the St. Lawrence Seaway of the 2015 season.
