The 75 foot pilot vessel Sabine Pilot II went aground near Sabine Jetties, Texas. The vessel struck the rocks near the jetties, but no reports of damage. Two of the three crew on board suffered minor injuries. The Coast Guard dispatched a fast-response vessel to the scene. A barge arrived a short time later to begin salvage operations. The container ship’s anchors began to drag until the vessel had run aground. No reports of injuries. Reports state the Capitaine Tasman continued to be pounded by the rough seas causing some water ingress. No further details reported.
