Reports state the 77 meter long tanker Zapadnyy performed an emergency anchoring on the Hunte River, Germany.   The tanker was proceeding empty when it met unfavorable wind and currents put the vessel in trouble.   The pilot and master of the tanker decided to maneuver the veessel into the shore embankment which succeeded in stopping the tanker without damage to the vessel or the shore.   The tanker later proceeded without issue.   Report released by local water police.

Man Attempts Boating Through Woods

A New Jersey couple was enjoying the night sky near their home on Toms River when a 40-foot high performance boat came crashing onto their property.   The boat had run off the Toms River and smashed into a gazebo before it ended high and dry in their yard.  The home owners said the vessel was “roaring up a storm” with music blaring and the motor still running after the collision.   The boat’s two occupants were uninjured, but quickly left the scene.   Reports state the man operating the vessel was drunk and was later charged by authorities for operating a vessel under the influence.

Unmanned Vessel Goes Ashore

A 52-foot pleasure craft crossed Sarasota Bay, Florida and crashed ashore with no one aboard.    The owner had the vessel on autopilot when he got fell overboard.    The owner stated that he had kicked a dive ball on the deck to get it out of the way, but the dive ball went overboard dragging him with it.   Luckily, he was able to swim ashore and was uninjured.
