Claudia Alejandra
The unregistered cargo vessel Claudia Alejandra sank in the Pacific Ocean near Cabo Marzo, Columbia. The Claudia Alejandra had gone adrift after suffering engine failure. The vessel sank the following day. The Columbian Navy, Coast Guard and local fisherman rescued 14 of the 22 crew on board. Reports state five crew perished as they were trapped inside the vessel when it sank. A search and rescue effort also recovered three bodies. No vessel details were reported.
