The 15 meter long fishing vessel Amron went aground near Brønnøysund, Norway.  The Amron was puting out nets when the vessel got stuck.   A diver inspected the hull and found the vessel had suffered no damage.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.  The Amron will attempt to refloat on the next high tide.

The 66 meter long, 1748 dwt freighter Mokosica went aground near Bergen, Norway.  The freighter was headed to Kristiansund when it grounded.  No further details reported.

John D Leitch

John D Leitch

The 222 meter long, 30745 dwt bulk freighter John D Leitch allided with a pier and small boat on the Black River at Lorain, Ohio.   The freighter suffered no damage or injuries, but the small boat was taken out of the water to be inspected.   The John D. Leitch remained at Lorain while the Coast Guard conducted an investigation.   Reports state the crew were tested for alcohol, bur the results were negative.   The freighter was allowed to leave port later the same day.
