The 50 meter long, 593 dwt freighter Traumvik went aground near Finnsnesrenna, Norway.  The freighter suffered hull damage with a ballast tank holed.   A tug was dispatched from Tromsø which pulled the MS Traumvik free.   Both vessels proceeded to Harstad.   No injuries reported or pollution released.

Fisker N

Fisker N

The 10 meter long fishing vessel Fisker N sank while moored at Ballstad, Norway.   No one was on board the vessel when it sank during the night.   The NSSR lifeboat responded to the scene, but was unable to raise the submerged vessel.    A mobile crane was requested which raised the Fisker N the following day.   No reports of injuries.

Rising Eagle

Rising Eagle

The 167 meter long, 26758 dwt bulk freighter Rising Eagle became disabled in the Dadanelles near Intepe, Turkey.  The Rising Eagle had suffered a mechanical failure requiring the freighter to drop anchor.   No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.   The Rising Eagle was en route to Bandirma, Turkey from Aqaba, Jordan.
