Albacore
On May 29, the 26 meter long fishing vessel Albacore ran aground near Aurstad, Norway. The Albacore had run aground in the early morning hours while fishing for mackerel near the shoreline. The trawler had run up on the rocks and developed a list to port. The vessel remained aground for several hours before it was able to refloat itself with the rising tide. Authorities were alerted and dispatched a lifeboat to the scene. Divers arrived and later inspected the Albacore’s hull for damage. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
