On the afternoon of September 22, the 52 meter long ro-ro passenger ferry Kvernes (IMO: 7618832)  allided on the Hjørundfjorden at Sæbø, Norway. The Kvernes was completing its regular route between Leknes and Sæbø when the ferry struck the quay at  Sæbø. Reports state the vessel struck head-on into the quay at speed. One crew member sustained injuries during the incident. The Kvernes sustained undisclosed amount of damage and was taken out of service. Reports state the ferry resumed service by the following day. No further details reported

On the morning of September 17, the 120 meter long, 2299 dwt ro-ro passenger ferry SS Badger (IMO: 5033583) allided on Lake Michigan at Ludington, Michigan. The Badger had completed a voyage from Manitowoc, Wisconsin across Lake Michigan and entered Ludington harbor. As the ferry maneuvered to its berth, the vessel’s sea gate struck the moored 125 meter long, 3084 dwt ro-ro passenger ferry SS Spartan (IMO: 5336387). There were no injuries to crew or passengers on board, but the sea gate had sustained damage.

The Badger was taken out of service for inspection and necessary repairs. Reports state the Badger resumed service on the morning of September 18.

On the morning of September 13, the 135 meter long self-propelled tanker barge Mi-Deseo (MMSI: 244670658) allided with a bridge on the Gent-Terneuzen Canal near Sluiskil, Netherlands. The Mi-Deseo was sailing from Werkendam when it’s wheelhouse struck the the underside of the Sluiskil Bridge. The Mi-Deseo wheelhouse was severely damaged, but there were no injuries on board. Reports state the bridge was undamaged from the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
