On March 19, the 94.5 meter long, 4237 dwt cargo vessel Bers (IMO: 9044188) became disabled on the Bosphorus near Istanbul, Turkey. The Bers was en route from Iskenderun to Constanta when it suffered engine failure and went adrift. Authorities dispatched the tugboat Kurtarma 11 to assist. The tug took the Bers under tow and proceeded and to Ahırkapı where the cargo vessel dropped anchor. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On the early morning hours of February 27, the 136 meter long, 9503 container ship Oyster (IMO: 9418884) became disabled on the Bosporus near Kandilli, Turkey. The Oyster was heading to Novorossiysk from Ambarli when it suffered engine failure.  Unable to restart the engines, the vessel alerted authorities and requested assistance. The KEGM dispatched the tugs Kurtarma 7 (IMO: 9598608) and Kurtarma 12 (IMO: 9854404) which took the container ship under tow. The vessels then proceeded to Büyükdere where the Oyster dropped anchor.  No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

On the morning of December 26, the 274 meter long, 163288 dwt tanker Cordelia Moon (IMO: 9297888) became disabled on the Bosphorus Strait near Yeniköy, Turkey. The Cordelia Moon was headed for Russia from Yalova when it suffered engine failure. Turkish authorities dispatched tugboats which were able to pass a towline over to the tanker.  The tugs then towed the Cordelia Moon to an anchorage off Istanbul. No reports of injuries, damage or pollution released.

The Cordelia Moon had been in an early incident in October when it was struck by an unmanned vessel while off Yemen in October 2024.
