On the evening of June 12, the 123 meter long cargo vessel Wilson Nanjing (IMO: 9431018) allided with a vessel on the Weser River at Bremen, Germany. The Wilson Nanjing was departing from Bremen bound for Delfzijl when it struck a vessel moored at the pier. The maneuver had the port stern from the Wilson Nanjing strike the foreship of the moored vessel.  Both vessels sustained on minor damage. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

The water police arrived on site and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities found the master of the Wilson Nanjing was intoxicated which was confirmed by a breathalyzer.  Reports state the Wilson Nanjing remained in Bremen for several days before it was released on June 17. The vessel had been detained due to multiple deficiencies before it was allowed to proceed on June 18.

On October 2, the 82 meter long, 2316 dwt cargo vessel Nordica Hav (IMO: 8324684) allided with a dolphin on the Weser River at Bremen, Germany. The Nordica Hav was proceeding just outside of Oslebshauser lock to the entrance of the Kiel Canal when it ram a dolphin.  The cargo vessel sustained a several meter long gash in the port hull above the waterline. No reports of injuries or pollution released.

Authorities detained the vessel and launched an investigation. The water police found the master of the Nordica Hav was under the influence of alcohol after a breathalyzer and blood sample was taken. An initial inspection found the cargo vessel sustained an estimated 120,000 euros in damage.  Later reports stated the vessel would go under repairs in Bremen.

The 183 meter long, 46769 dwt bulk freighter Emily Manx allided on the Weser with the quay at Bremen, Germany.  The quay suffered on scratches while the vessel suffered a 30 foot dent along its hull.   No reports of injuries or pollution released.  Authorities have detained the vessel while the incident is under investigation.
