Sogn

The 80 meter long, 150 dwt ro-ro ferry Sogn allided with the dock at Brimnes, Norway.  The ferry struck the pier and both suffered minor damage.   No reports of injuries to the 43 passengers and nine crew on board.  The ferry was able to proceed on its voyage to Ulvik.

Ferry Miss Turn

The 80 meter long, 150 ton ro-ro ferry Sogn ran ashore near Brimnes, Norway.   The Sogn which regularly runs between Bruravik and Brimnes had 13 passengers and 10 cars on board when it went turned too soon and ended up some 200 meters from the pier at Brimnes.   No one was injured, but the ferry suffered damage to its rudder and propeller.    Attempts to refloat the ferry with its own power failed.   A blood alcohol test on the crew was negative.   Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
