Xetha Bhum

Xetha Bhum

The 146 meter long, 15302 dwt container ship Xetha Bhum allided with the embankment on the Chao Praya River in the Phra Pradaeng DistrictBangkok, Thailand. The Xetha Bhum was departing for a voyage to Singapore when it lost control and struck the embankment.  The boxship sustained multiple hull breaches in the bow and sustained water ingress.  No reports of injuries.  The Xetha Bhum was inspected and allowed to be refloated.  The Xetha Bhum was towed by two tugs back into port for repairs.  The Coast Guard and local authorities have launched an investigation into incident.
